Poor Sperm Morphology

Poor Sperm Morphology

Sperm morphology refers to the size, shape, and structure of sperm. Abnormal sperm morphology, known as teratozoospermia, can impact male fertility. Sperm with abnormal morphology may have reduced motility or difficulty penetrating the egg for fertilization. It is associated with decreased fertility rates and an increased risk of infertility. Assisted reproductive techniques, such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), may be used to overcome fertility challenges caused by abnormal sperm morphology.
