How is Sperm Frozen?
- Collection: A semen sample is obtained through masturbation or other methods
- Processing: The semen sample is prepared by adding a cryoprotectant solution to protect the sperm during freezing and thawing
- Freezing: The prepared sample is placed in small vials and gradually cooled to very low temperatures using liquid nitrogen, allowing long-term storage of the sperm
